The hand-carved mahjong making process is listed in Hong Kong's intangible cultural heritage as a traditional handicraft, with only few craftsmen leftover in Hong Kong possessing this skill. Master Ricky Cheung and artist Karen Aruba will demonstrate different traditional tools to showcase the exquisite skill of hand-carving Mahjong tiles. Over the past few years, Karen Aruba Studio has infused various artistic methods and technology into hand-carved mahjong, breaking through traditions and unleashing creativity. In the new year 2024, they continue to share their ideas through the field of aesthetics, demonstrating infinite possibilities.
